My Photographic Gear

It’s 2020 and I have finally decided to start my new blog post. My blog will highlight all my photographic activity from travel locations, latest photographic compositions and much more exciting photographic content,

Below is the list of my gear which I normally carry around in my bag when travelling out for a photo shoot.

1 - Camera and Lenses

Nikon D810

My pride and joy. The Nikon D810 is far the best camera I've ever had. The image quality is awesome and has a huge dynamic range in both stills and Full HD 1080p video applications. I never used the video feature, but I will someday. It has a 36.3-megapixel FX-format full-frame image sensor. Noise-Free images from ISO 64 to ISO 12,800. The D810 camera is a camera that I'll be using for a while, but who knows when I'll decide to upgrade to the Nikon D850

Nikon D90

You'll be surprised but this 11 year old camera which was launched by Nikon in August 2008 takes spectacular photographs. I had this camera since 2009 and still captures amazing images. It has a 12.3-megapixel DX-format CMOS imaging sensor. I know, you can't compare it with today's cameras, but what can I say, I love the quality of the images and will still be in my camera bag for a while.

GoPro Hero 7

Just purchased this mini camera for capturing video content. Will definitely start using it this year.

Tamron 70-210mm F/4 Di VC USD Lens

This is the only zoom lens I posses and it's a great lens to work with. Slightly heavy.. weighs around 850g.

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED

This is my wide-angle lens is made for my Nikon D90. Its a DX-format, high-power 5.8x zoom lens with focal length ranging from 18 to 105mm. Great lens for landscape photography.

2 - Drone

Mavic 2 Pro

Wherever I go, my drone goes......This drone is equipped with an awesome Hasselblad L1D-20c camera and imbedded with a 20MP 1” CMOS Sensor, Its able to capture gorgeous aerial cinematic video footage in stunning colour detail.

3 - Tripod

Manfrotto MK190X3-2W 190 Aluminum

Great Tripod. Easy fits on my camera bag. Its reliable, Light and easy to carry.

Ballhead - Vanguard BBH-100

Great ball head for my tripod abling to clip my L-bracket. Perfect for capturing panoramic multi shots.

4 - Filters

K&F Concept Square Filter ND1000 100x100mm

My ND 1000 also known as 10 stop filter is used when creating long exposure capture during bright light conditions. Great filter and I definitely recommend you have this in your camera bag.

Cokin Square Filter Full ND Creative Kit

I use Cokin ND filters. Does the job when needed. Great filters.

5 - Camera Bag

Lowepro camera compact bag backpack

Perfect compacted and easy to carry. I normally use this backpack when travelling short distances. Just enough to carry my two cameras and lenses.

Endurax extra-large backpack

This backpack specially designed when travelling on long-distances and is large enough to fit my two cameras, lenses, 2-3 flashes and tons of small pockets to pack my photography accessories. Also, I'm able to fit my MacBook Pro. It's pretty bulky but a great a backpack.

6 - Editing Equipment

15'' Macbook Pro with touch bar

This computer is awesome to work with. It's fast and you will not let you down. It has a 2.3GHz Intel Core i9 processor. It imbedded with a Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB.

Lightroom and Photoshop

My post-production platforms. Not much to say about that...

Huion Drawing Tablet

Just started editing my work with the use of a tablet. I'm trying to get the hang of it.. of course!.

Photo Storage

Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB External Drive

Expensive but worth it. I know my work will be safe and unlikely to face drive errors. Data transfer to my computer is extremely fast and very reliable.

WD SSD Passport External Drive

Just as good.

Don't use it much,

Multicard reader

JJC Memory Card Case

Keeps my memory cards safe from any damages. It's durable and waterproof protected.

This is an awesome lens specially made for landscape photographers. It's an ultra-wide lens for capturing landscapes, cityscapes and interiors photography, A wide frame capture is what I need for landscape photography

Tamron SP 150-600MMf/5-6.3 Di VC USD

Sony Alpha A6400 - Interchangeable Lens Camera

This mirrorless camera is perfect for capturing video footage. Light and very reliable camera for vlogging. It captures 4K HDR video with a 180-degree tiltable touchscreen LCD which will able me to view myself when recording. It also has a Wi-Fi feature for easy file transfer.
