Misty Dunes

Liwa Desert / United Arab Emirates

This breathtaking image of the sand dunes was captured in Liwa Desert, just 3 hours drive from Dubai.

Capturing this fantastic composition was just pure luck. Upon my arrival, the sky was overcast and the morning mist just hovered above the dunes. The sun started to creep out of the clouds creating this amazing golden light.

Literally..... I was in the right place, at the right time..

Fujairah Hajar Mountain Range / United Arab Emirates

(prints - upon Request)

This handheld image was captured in the early morning hours during a mountain camping trip. My friend and I decided to go on a camping trip, just so that we can get away from the everyday city life.

While driving through the mountain dirt road, I spotted this beautiful mountain landscape. I was totally amazed by the horizontal mountain line shape textures created by the early morning sunlight. I knew I had a perfect minimal composition in my hand, so I grabbed my camera and started photographing this amazing landscape. Out of the 5 images taken, this was my ultimate favourite.

My aim of this image was to achieve a minimal and artistic composition. I focused more on the left Ghaf tree as my main subject. The foggy morning atmosphere was absolutely a given bonus.

With a bit of color, highlights, shadow and vignette adjustments, I achieved an artistic composition. Just love the way the tree stands out from the rest of the other tree family.

The Golden Dune

Rub’ Al Khali desert / Emirate of Abu Dhabi

(prints - upon Request)

When post-processing this photograph, it literally blew my mind. In fact, this image is rated as one of the sharpest captures of my photographic career.
This one of a kind image of a sand dune was captured in Rub' Al Khali desert located 93 miles northwest of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Literally the location where they filmed 'Star Wars' The Force Awakens.
The whole idea of this composition is to photograph the beautiful patterns and textures created by the desert wind. Using my Nikon D810 I had to ensure that my focus techniques were done perfectly. By doing, so I used a steady tripod, shutter release hand controller and the zoom-in focus method. With the help of perfect light casts that morning, I achieved a perfect composition.

Shadow Horizons in the Mist

Qatar / Arabian Peninsula

(prints - upon Request)

White on Transparent.png
This photograph was captured off the Qatari coast of the Arabian Peninsula. Finding a composition especially in harsh desert environments is sometimes very difficult. That day was somewhat a different photo shoot day. I came across an old torn up fish net trap which led into the sea. Due to the high humidity, the seabed was as still as oil on water. The humidity conditions created this perfect rigged reflection effect from the fence. I decided to capture my composition without any filters. I wanted it simple and minimal.
